Where in Italy is Villa di Tirano?

Villa di Tirano (Villa) is a village of around 1- 2000 residents located on the outskirts of the town of Tirano, in the Province of Sondrio, Northern Italy at the border between Italy and Switzerland.  Tirano and Villa are nestled in the Valtellina valley where it intersects with the Poschiavo valley.   The Bernina Express train (world heritage line) travels between Tirano (Italy) and St Moritz (Switzerland) via the Berniana Pass. The Valtellina valley has the Italian Alps to the South  and the Swiss Alps to the North.   The Adda River follows the valley from its source in the Alps through Tirano and the outskirts of Villa on its way to Lake Como.
